Achos Temimim

Students and families experienced the full process of making olive oil—from harvesting and crushing the olives to watching the golden oil flow. The boys touched the olives, smelled the fresh oil, and learned how it was used for the menorah, deepening their connection to the Chanukah miracle.

Families worked together to design and build beautiful wooden menorahs, turning raw wood into a masterpiece to use every Chanukah. The room was full of teamwork, pride, and multigenerational connection.

The boys came to school in colorful, festive costumes to celebrate Purim. The classrooms were filled with laughter, smiles, and Purim spirit.

The boys learned how matzah is made and got to make their very own. A hands-on experience full of laughter and learning as Pesach came alive.

The boys visited a matzah bakery to see how matzah is made, enjoyed a treat at Sweet Expression Ice Cream, and the oldest boys had a special trip to 770.

The boys participated in Chidon, showing off all their hard work and learning. To celebrate, they headed to American Dream for dinner and bowling.

The day began with a lively rally at the Ohel, followed by the community Lag BaOmer parade celebrated in unity and pride, and wrapped up with lunch and relaxing together at Memorial Park.

The boys enjoyed ice cream together as part of the Shavuot celebration, with a special touch from the PTA.

The 4th and 5th grade boys explored the Cradle of Aviation museum and took part in a planetarium show on 'Cities of the Future,' learning about engineering and innovation around the world.

The 2nd and 3rd grade boys explored interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, learning through play and discovery on an enriching day outside the classroom.

A beautiful multigenerational morning where bubbies, mothers, and daughters joined for inspiration, song, and creativity. Guest presenter 'Magic with Mushky' brought Miriam HaNevia's story to life through drama, and families decorated tambourines together.

In honor of Yud Daled Kislev, the girls enjoyed a heartwarming acting presentation bringing the Rebbe and Rebbetzin's wedding and lifelong dedication to Chassidus to life through storytelling, song, and drama.

The girls brought the joy of Purim to life in colorful, creative costumes, filling the classrooms with laughter and festive spirit.

The girls celebrated the Hebrew birthday of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka and learned how a Jewish birthday is a special day to give brachos and do mitzvos. Each girl received a perfume inscribed, 'let your actions leave a beautiful fragrance.'

The girls showed incredible dedication to Chidon, participating and excelling together—a joyful celebration of their hard work and shining achievements as part of the Magen Israel family.

A matzah bakery came to school! Rabbi Chayempour taught the girls how matzah is made, and they got to make their very own—a hands-on, exciting way to learn about Pesach.

Morah Yonina's class celebrated completing all 303 shorashim in their workbook with a special reward trip to 7-Eleven.

Kindergarten and first grade enjoyed their new sandboxes—building, digging, and creating together in a wonderful sensory experience full of teamwork and smiles.

After completing their unit on bridges, the girls visited the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, exploring its design and engineering up close and connecting their classroom learning to a historic landmark.

As part of the safety unit, the elementary girls welcomed members of Hatzalah and learned about the important role these dedicated volunteers play in the community.

The girls visited the Tenement Museum to learn about Jewish immigrants who came to America over a century ago, touring a historic apartment, then stopped at The Pickle Guys to learn about the business and sample pickles.

The girls celebrated their dedication to davening with a special in-school water slide event—a well-deserved reward and lots of fun with friends.

The children proudly welcomed their grandparents to school, making arts and crafts together and sharing laughter and special moments that brought the generations together.

A lively Chanukah puppet show filled with dancing, music, and excitement brought the story of Chanukah to life—the children loved following along and helping the puppeteer.

The Book Fair gave students and families the chance to explore a great selection of new books and enjoy the excitement of reading. (Thank you to the PTA.)

The yeladim dove into Pesach—making their own Haggadas, tasting karpas, exploring matzah vs. chametz, trying on makkot masks, and crafting menorah and Pesach projects in a week full of hands-on fun.

Preschoolers welcomed special classroom visitors—caterpillars!—and watched them grow into butterflies. They painted caterpillars and butterflies, read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and explored the butterfly life cycle.

Pre-K learned all about Lag BaOmer through a fun puppet show, exploring its meaning with engaging classroom activities.

Morah Racheli's Pre-K class celebrated completing their reward chart with a special trip to the park—playing and exploring together as a reward for their hard work and consistency.

Pre-K went on an exciting Aleph-Bet scavenger hunt around the school, searching for hidden letters while practicing their Aleph-Bet skills.

The yeladim were thrilled to play in their new sandboxes—digging, building, and creating together while enjoying the beautiful weather.

The yeladim welcomed members of Hatzalah and the Fire Department to school, learning about these community heroes and exploring the ambulance and fire truck up close—a special and memorable experience.
